CTET Syllabus in Hindi PDF Topics
CTET Syllabus is determined by CBSE comprising of Child Development and Pedagogy, Language 1 and Language 2, Environmental Science, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies. There are two Papers in CTET 2020 with different Exam Patterns, difficulty level, and syllabus.
- Paper-I is for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V.
- Paper-II is for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII.
- CTET Syllabus for Paper I is based on the topics prescribed for classes 1 – 5. For Paper II, the syllabus is of the Elementary stage. Download CTET Previous Years’ Question Papers
- A person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to VIII have to appear in both the papers.

CTET Syllabus for Paper 1
CTET 2020 Paper 1 is conducted for aspirants willing to become teachers of primary classes. The syllabus for Paper 1 is as decided by CBSE every year. Section-wise distribution is tabulated below:

Nature and Standard of Questions
- The Child Development and Pedagogy will focus on educational psychology of teaching and learning relevant to the age group of 6-11 years. They will focus on understanding the characteristics and needs of diverse learners, interaction with learners and the attributes and qualities of a good facilitator of learning.
- Language I section will focus on the proficiencies related to the medium of instruction.
- Language II section will focus on the elements of language, communication and comprehension abilities. Language II will be a language other than Language I. A candidate may choose any one language as Language I and other as Language II from the available language options and will be required to specify the same in the Confirmation Page.

The CTET Syllabus 2020 for Paper I (for classes I to V – Primary Stage) is:

Nature and Standard of Questions
